At Newquay Tretherras we teach Information and Communication Technology in all year groups.
We currently have 6 main ICT suites having an average of 28 computers in each room further enhanced by 5 interactive white boards to aid teaching and learning. The rooms also have Colour Laser Printers, Laser Printers, Scanners and access to Digital Camera's. Students are encouraged to use the facilities as much as possible with ICT clubs being run every lunchtime and also after school Monday-Thursday. The facilities are always supervised by either a teaching member of staff or ICT classroom assistant.
ICT is also used cross curricular throughout the school throughout all Key Stages. Opportunities are available for departments and subject teachers to use the bookable ICT resources within the school for their classes in order to meet the requirements of Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 courses.
